Turn a script into a film, shot by shot

Paste a script, a treatment or a one-line idea. VidGen breaks it into scenes, stages each one in 3D with a camera move, and films the version you approve.

From words to shots

Claude reads your script the way a director would: it decides the shots, who is in them, where the camera goes and what the light is like, and writes the narration for each page. You get a storyboard of real 3D scenes, not a pile of unrelated clips.

Anything you would change on set, you change in words: "move the camera closer", "make it night", "add an owl", "make the hero run". Only the scenes you select are redrawn.

How it works

  1. Describe the story in a sentence or paste a full treatment. Pick a format (wide 16:9, vertical 9:16 or square) and a look.
  2. Claude writes the story and blocks out every page as a real 3D scene: the cast, the set, the light, the weather and a camera move.
  3. Select the scenes that are not right and say what to change in plain words. Only those scenes are redrawn, and every edit can be undone. All of this is free.
  4. Approve and film: an image model paints each 3D frame in your style, a video model (such as Kling 3.0, Veo 3.1 or Seedance 2.0) animates it, and narration, captions and music are added in one pass.

What it costs

Writing, blocking and editing the 3D storyboard is free, and so is a 3D animatic film of it. You pay only for the AI work you approve: the provider's list price plus 20%, shown before every render. There is no subscription and no account, credit never expires, shots that fail are not charged, and when you change one scene later only that shot is filmed again.

Questions

How long can my script be?

Up to a few pages works well. VidGen plans 3 to 10 scenes per story; longer scripts are condensed into that many shots.

Can I write the narration myself?

Yes. Every scene has an editable narration and dialogue line, and the narrator reads exactly what you write.

Which video models can I use?

Veo 3.1, Kling 3.0 Pro, Seedance 2.0, Hailuo H3, Wan 3.0, Luma Ray 3.2 and others, chosen per film. The price for each is shown before you approve.

Your next film starts with one sentence.

Building and editing the 3D storyboard is free. Pay only for the AI shots you approve.
