What an AI film costs, model by model
Every price on this page comes from VidGen Studio's live price list: the provider's price plus 20%, the same numbers you are charged. Planning and editing your story as 3D scenes is free.
Price per shot and per film
What you pay at 1080p, cheapest film first. Every shot includes its styled first frame (Nano Banana 2.1), and a film adds $0.02 for finishing. Narration and Claude's direction are extra and optional (below).

- Claude directing your story instead: about $0.30 per story.
- Narration: $0.29 per 1,000 characters, about $0.17 for a six-scene story.

How to spend less
- Make the whole film as a free 3D animatic first, and film it with AI only when the story is right.
- Pick 720p where the model prices it lower (the 3D-guided model and Kling 4.0).
- Change one scene later and only that shot is filmed again: unchanged shots are reused for free.
- Shots that fail are not charged.
How it works
- Describe the story in a sentence or paste a full treatment. Pick a format (wide 16:9, vertical 9:16 or square) and a look.
- Claude writes the story and blocks out every page as a real 3D scene: the cast, the set, the light, the weather and a camera move.
- Select the scenes that are not right and say what to change in plain words. Only those scenes are redrawn, and every edit can be undone. All of this is free.
- Approve and film: an image model paints each 3D frame in your style, a video model (such as Kling 3.0, Veo 3.1 or Seedance 2.0) animates it, and narration, captions and music are added in one pass.
Questions
How much does a one-minute AI film cost?
Six 10-second scenes with narration and Claude's direction come to about $9.59 with Veo 3.1 Fast, $11.03 with Kling 3.0 Pro and $23.99 with Veo 3.1, at 1080p. The same film as a 3D animatic is free.
Do I pay for shots that fail, or for re-rendering?
Failed shots are not charged. When you change a scene and render again, only the changed scenes are filmed and charged; the rest are reused for free.
Why is the 3D-guided model priced per shot?
Its provider bills each clip a $0.50 fee, a price per second and a fee for the 3D video it reads. VidGen adds 20% to that, as for every model, and shows the total before you approve.
Is there a subscription or a minimum?
No subscription. You add prepaid credit (packs from $10), it never expires, and unused credit is refundable under the terms.
