An LTX Studio alternative with no subscription
LTX Studio is a full AI production suite sold as monthly credit plans. VidGen does one job: you storyboard your story as real 3D scenes for free, fix them in plain words, and pay only for the shots you film.

Where LTX Studio is stronger
LTX Studio is a broad production suite, and it does a lot that VidGen does not.
- Its own LTX-2.5 video model alongside third-party models.
- Advanced camera controls, audio-to-video and video-to-video control.
- Node-based Flows automation, pitch decks, an editing space and dubbing.
- Project collaboration, and enterprise options such as SSO, brand management and compliance.
Who should pick which
- Pick LTX Studio if you produce video every week, work in a team, or want an editing suite and pitch decks in one place.
- Pick VidGen if you make a story-driven film now and then, want to plan every shot for free first, and would rather pay per shot than per month.
How it works
- Describe the story in a sentence or paste a full treatment. Pick a format (wide 16:9, vertical 9:16 or square) and a look.
- The planner writes the story and blocks out every page as a real 3D scene: the cast, the set, the light, the weather and a camera move.
- Select the scenes that are not right and say what to change in plain words. Only those scenes are redrawn, and every edit can be undone. All of this is free.
- Approve and film: an image model paints each 3D frame in your style, a video model (such as Kling 3.0, Veo 3.1 or Seedance 2.0) animates it, and narration, captions and music are added in one pass.
What it costs
Writing, blocking and editing the 3D storyboard is free, and so is a 3D animatic film of it. You pay only for the AI work you approve: the provider's list price plus 20%, shown before every render. There is no subscription and no account, credit never expires, shots that fail are not charged, and when you change one scene later only that shot is filmed again.
New visitors get $0.85 of free AI credit, enough to film one short scene; a limited number are given each day.
Questions
Is VidGen a full replacement for LTX Studio?
No. VidGen focuses on one path: a story, a 3D storyboard you direct, and a narrated AI film. It has no team features, editing suite or video model of its own.
Do I need a subscription?
No. You add prepaid credit when you want to film. Packs start at $10 and never expire, and planning in 3D costs nothing.
Can I use the films commercially?
Yes. You own the film and can use it commercially, for example on a monetized YouTube channel.
Your next film starts with one sentence.
Building and editing the 3D storyboard is free. Pay only for the AI shots you approve.
